2012 SPRING REFEREE TEAM POINTS REQUIRMENTS

This year, Spring 2012 Teams will have a Referee Team Point Requirment. For information regaring the 2012 Spring Team Referee Point Requirment, please view the attached document.

Summary - Team Referee Requirements

Region 85 Spring Teams will be required to obtain three (3) referee points for each Home game scheduled.  Qualified and approved referees may earn a point for their assigned team by refereeing any match located in Region 85.  (Games located on fields outside of Region 85 are not eligible for referee points.)  In addition, ALL referees must sign up/request games via the online Area 11-L Referee scheduling system.  Data from the Area 11-L Referee scheduling system will be used to determine referee/team compliance.

PROCEDURES FOR NEW REFEREES

AYSO is a large volunteer run organization that works with hundreds of thousands of children throughout the country. Through our widely acclaimed Safe Haven program we take special precautions to screen and properly train the thousands of volunteers who work with our children.

As part of this program all referees are required to:

  • Submit a signed Volunteer Application Form (VAF) every year.
  • Be formally Safe Haven certified by AYSO
  • Be properly trained and certified as a referee by AYSO.

The referee and Safe Haven certifications, and annual VAF, must be properly recorded in the National database (eAYSO) or referees will not be permitted to participate in AYSO games.

Procedures required to satisfy these requirements are listed here: Procedures for New Referees
