SOCCERFEST SUMMARY

What is Soccerfest?
Several years ago Area 11L discontinued the "All Stars" program and our region created a Soccerfest program. This unique AYSO event, takes place on a Saturday shortly after the completion of the Fall season. It symbolizes the purpose of AYSO and is a reward for players and coaches alike. Soccerfest is a one day event gear towards players who have exhibited excellence in sportsmanship, skills and commitment to the game. Each player will be placed on a team and play two games that Saturday. This day is for players who can commit to the whole day, not just one game.

Who Can Participate?
Every U9-U14 coach will nominate players from their Fall roster based on skill-set and sportsmanship, the Soccerfest Committee will select teams from the nominated players.

Soccerfest Summary
All participants will be provided a Soccerfest shirt and should wear dark shorts, socks, cleats, shinguards and bring water. Each player must print out the medical release form and bring it with them to on the day of the event. The medical release form (same as player registration form) can be obtained from your player's fall coach or through eAYSO (system you registered for fall): www.eayso.org. Once logged in, click on "Print Player Form," select the appropriate player, print both pages, sign and bring on Soccerfest day.

Games Duration
Player check-in will take place one hour before the first scheduled game. Each game will be allotted a one-hour time slot for two 20 minutes halves and a 5 minute half time break. Substitutions will be made at an appropriate time determined by the referee approximately one-half way through each period and at the beginning of the second half
