AYSO Extra (formerly called Plus) is an advanced play program for U9 thru U14 players. Recognizing the need to offer an AYSO based program for higher caliber players, and to help develop players for high school, AYSO is providing a program that offers a higher level of training from more experienced coaches and a higher level of competition for those involved.

AYSO Extra games are played during the fall season with additional tournament play possible. There also may be occasional Sunday games or double-headers. The league is comprised of teams from Lake Forest and the other Area 11L regions (Aliso Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita and San Clemente). The region will select one team per age group, based an open tryout.

Tryouts are open to any player registered for the Fall 2010 season. A Tryout Waiver will need to be completed and signed by a parent or guardian, prior to player participation. Players should attend both tryout days in May. See below for dates and times.

Each child will be evaluated on their ball handling skills, offensive and defensive ability, game sense, speed, endurance and attitude. All players will be asked to declare their commitment level to the program and that will also be a factor in final player selection. Club soccer players active on a club team are not allowed to participate in this program.  Players will be notified of the results by June 30.
