Hot Tips on setting up the Bow Net goals

Review the video at

Lay the goal on the goround and expand the base bar to open until both buttons clink into place

Connect the 2 poles together with the end for the loop attachment on top

Insert the connected poles into the holes on the goal and attach the loops on te gola to the poles

Stakes are available in the storage bin but not necessary usually and they tend to get lost in the grass.

Please be aware that dogs are not allowed at any AYSO practice or game.

That especially holds true for Saddleback School District field. The presence of dogs on a school field could lead to SVUSD revoking our permit.

Even though city parks allow leashed dogs, they are not allowed at AYSO practices or games.

With all the kids running around and other activity at AYSO events, the chances are very high that pets will be excitable and may cause injury. In addition, some children have a fear of dogs.

Thank you in advance for helping to keep AYSO soccer a fun event for all.

Rain Policy

On inclement weather days, Region 85 will communicate here whether the fields are open or closed based on mudline information provided to us by the SVUSD and the City of Lake Forest by 8am on weekends and by 2pm on weekdays. The main concern is for player safety. Protecting the fields from damage is also a major consideration. Always use your best judgment when playing or practicing when conditions are poor.

Even if the region decides to play games, a specific site may be unplayable. That call is ultimately made by the referee.

Games and practices are always canceled whenever lightning is in the area.

AYSO Plus and U16/U19 should check the Area website for field conditions. Field status may be different in different cities. Lake Forest may decide to play while Irvine or Mission Viejo does not.

On game days, the information will be posted by 8:00 am. There will be multiple ways to get the news.

  1. The Area 11L website. Click on Mudline - where all field conditions are posted. This is also linked from the Fields page of the Region 85 website.
  2. The Region 85 website - At the top of the Home page, there will be a very obvious message with field status.

Thanks for your help to preserve our fields and our permits with the school district and City!
